Grades 6–12
One of the fastest-growing co-ed sports in the nation.
MBJA happily invites all students in grades 8–12 to our high school program, and students in grades 6 and 7 to our middle school program — regardless of which area school you attend.
Currently we have students from Black River, Holland Christian, Saugatuck, West Ottawa, and Zeeland East and West sailing with us.
Yes. Prior sailing or racing experience is required — either as a member of the current team, or by successfully completing one of the MBJA sailing camps.
For high school sailing, you qualify by successfully completing one of the MBJA 420 camps. For middle school sailing, you qualify by completing one of the MBJA 420 or Opti camps.
Sailing under the banner of your middle school or high school with a group of your peers forges friendships that last a lifetime. If you have questions about experience or eligibility, contact MBJA Director Tim Ritsema.
