Formerly known as Formerly 420 Camp.
Sailors between the ages of 12 and 17 who are first-time sailors, and likely interested in either high school sailing or in learning skills to participate in a keelboat program.
The course focuses on fun, adventure sailing, and advanced sailing techniques in a safe and exciting format. It teaches boat rigging and safety, the fundamentals of skippering and crewing, upwind and downwind sailing, and working with a partner to navigate courses.
Graduates should consider 420 Level 2, where they continue perfecting skipper and crew skills — crew and skipper positioning, fine-tuning upwind and downwind, pre-racing tactics, starting and buoy rounding, and more teamwork.
